As i was wondering of what to write this time,I decided to write bout this guy i get to know since i enrolled in the kdu law programme..hehe..(name wouldnt be revealed..)

Seriously speaking,this friend of mine has a great sense of humour,caring,good-looking,smart( in and out),and he has been very very good to me.Haha really appreciate him as my buddy.One thing I like him the most is he cared for me as i was very down last week(due to some personal problems..)..so he tried his best to cheer me up when i was crying..haih alangkah baiknya if my ex got juz half of his characteristics..life wud be so much betta for me....and thank goodness tat i no longer like him..there's no more'feelings'..im having a good life of freedom now..hahaha..shd have met this guy earlier..hahaha sei lo..i think he's still angry wif me as i impliedly promised to let him see what i'd written bout him..but in the end i chose not to...he kinda waited quite long for my 'draft' of him..

Actually im afraid tat i might fall for him..bcoz i tend to fall for guys who r 'extinct' now..this kind of guy.where to find..?? Besides,(to me) he's quite unique in his own way which attracts me alot...hahaha (if u r reading pls dun be perasan la..)

Piano

I used to have a great skills of playing the piano.Haih out of the blue,it's a definite that there would be a few mistakes in a song being played.What had happened to me..??How sad laaa.I wanna cry edy-.-Haih..ever since I enrolled in SAM in taylor's,I rarely open my grand.It had became a 'display'.Haha whenever I'm free, I'll juz go to one u,or wud juz watch any tv programmes tat's nice.Totally 4got bout the piano...

Btw,good luck to jia sin,my collegemate in kdu,her diploma piano exam is tomoro.Cool.Haha.I wish maksim wud come to m'sia again..wanna see his performance,damn sat.The last time he came to m'sia,I didnt go.Haih...

These few days very stressed up lo..4 days to exam..pimples popping out..haih..Spent a few days reading the AG V HOLLEY case..my head is full of their judgments now..(haha but if u ask me anything regarding tat,i dun think i can recall)..hehe..so i guess i hav to retype it lo..haih..sad case..

''Opportunity Cost''

Actually I wanted to watch America Next Top Model at 8pm,but when I was being troubled to study the case of Attorney General For Jersey v Holley,I told myself to change my mind.Looking at the long judgments really scare me to the edge.

Decided to take a break after reading half of the legal issues,which took me almost 2 hours to make the facts get into my brain.My Goodness.And that I have not finish the judgment delivered by Lord Nicholls of Birkenhead. I've got 2 other judgments to read..the dissenting judgments by Lord Bingham of Cornhill and Lord Hoffman..lulululu...

Just the first judgment there's so many to remember.The two tests of provocation provided by Section 3;the first element-whether the defendant is provoked to loose his self-control.This includes evidence of any mental or other abnormality making it more or less likely that the defendant lost his self-control.The second element is-an objective test-considering the question whether the provocation was enough to make a reasonable man do as the defendant did..

The issue of ''reasonable man''-a person of ordinary self-control.Leading case-DPP v Camplin-the quote given by Lord Diplock..bla bla bla..it means an ordinary person possessed of such powers of self-control as everyone is entitled to expect in society..bla bla..

Watched Mr World 2007 this afternoon,first time I came across this programme.The contestants were HOT,TALENTED (they can sing very well-like Il Divo)and SMART-comprises medical students,engineering students..COOL.GOOD-LOOKING.Deep eyes,sharp nose,kissable lips,hot voice......

Nowadays seldom get the chance to glance at hot guys edy,have to accept the fact that exam is drawing near..instead I'd been reading cases and law reports and judgments,haha also the legal system.......hehe cute guys really cheered me up.Keke.Satisfy my eyes lil bit.

Yesterday me,weiyee,wei chao,hua jie and one more guy from UOL external went to one-u and ate Burger King. It was a joyful outing with hua jie and wei chao around. Funny,as usual. Weiyee,she looked so sporty with her nike cap.Haha..(she would be so glad to see this) It's so not the wei yee that I knew.Suddenly she became some sort of hip-hop girl.Haha..

After that,they went to my house.A surprise visit.Haha,didn't expect them to come in,coz wei chao said he wanna go back to subang. By the way,I'm so glad that they came.As those two,hua jie and wei chao didn't turn up for my party last month,I'm kinda sad and disappointed..coz they went back to banting mah..haihz..

In Burger King,we talked lots bout ''qing gu''.Kinda giving a bad impression to the guy from UOL external programme.Kinda bad la we all.Hehee..but indeed he's not gentlemen and not nice at all.At times,he thinks he's very smart when he's not.Oh God.And the BO. Omg.It stinks.Hahah..laughing and laughing in Burger King....

Another happy day

I'm happy today too.Maybe it's the karaoke yesterday.Part of it la.

I told my mum that PC fare is around the corner.Before I could continue,she said'I give u some $$$ and buy whatever you wanna buy lah.''

Instantly,I nodded.Haha.Before this,I was thinking whether should I buy the Sony Creative MP3 Player which costs around RM330.The storage is 1 GB. I only want 1 GB and not less than that..

So now,I no longer need to think twice again.HAHAHA! THANKS MUM! Maybe is because she can read my mind..I'd been quite moody recently.Just last week,I had a big fight with her..'coz I wasn't allowed to go out after 6pm..I REALLY WANTED to go and visit my ex-neighbour,but due to the curfew thingy,I can't. Actually I predicted that would happen.If I'm able to cross my mum's stage,I wouldn't be able to cross my dad's one.I would be dead the next day.I remembered there was once when I came back at 8.30pm,I was terribly cooked.DAMN.Almost banned to use the car but thank God,just being scolded only.

Haha....never felt so gay.Yesterday karaoke,today one of my wish is satisfied.AAAA.....

Happy Day

Today I'm very happy.

Went to neway karaoke in one u with my classmates,which I'm not so close with.As in,they are not my gang.Decided to go and chill out lor.Destress lil bit.Heheee..Found out that I got the Best Etiquette for mooting,which I didn't expect it.Although my friend,Lit Fwu,said that I was very polite.

Man most of us were so HIGH.We sang and dance for 4 hours non-stop.Haha..this is the first time I felt so relieved for the year 2007.

Until I forgot to go to Armani Exchange and have a look at the sunglass that I like.

Forgot to take pictures.Haihz...I change my hairstyle.Hehe.

Fun Mooting

Haih..sad case..actually I spent a few hours trying to download the blogskins..but I don't know why it just failed.Gosh.Gotta stick to this skin then.

I tend to worry unnecessarily. I was thinking the whole day what kind of questions will be asked by the judge..whether my script was good or not..whether I need to rebutt my opponents....etc
Finally the day has come. Unbelievable.Haha.

My moot would start at 3. Before that,there was a mooting competition going on. Saw the timekeeper walking up and down.So busy. My friend suddenly asked me'' wanna join mooting competition..??'' I was not responding to her question. I was concentrating on my mooting. mooting. mooting. Maybe I will join la..but not now la..too stressed up.

We went in to the court at 2.30 pm together with my senior counsel,amirah and my learned opponents,esther and jeannie. I was the junior counsel for the respondent, acting behalf on Mr Cotton.

Esther,senior counsel for the appellant, started her speech. It took around 12 minutes. Oh God.I was panicked.I was afraid that I would burst out laughing. Then,my senior counsel, amira started to talk. As usual, I heard words like telemessage..acceptance..contract..''my client''..bla bla bla..then its jeannie's turn. Oh gosh. It would be my turn after that. I looked at the expression given by the judge,she seemed tired.Confused. Oh I could feel the speed of my hear beats.Bok Bok Bok..!!!

All of a sudden,jeannie ended her speech. Then the judge said'' Your submission please, junior counsel for the respondent'' So I stood up eventually. And I started like this'' My ladyship, I am the junior counsel for the respondent Mr Cotton, Min yuen, and with your permission, I will continue the submissions on behalf of the respondent.'' Oh my gosh.I was so nervous until I could sense that my words were quite ''out''.. and there goes my tone as well.

Oh shit. I can't go on like that! So I started to cool down and THANK GOD.It went well.The only thing is that I felt thirsty. I'd been talking non-stop for 15 minutes. Hehee.So I went on:

If it pleases Your Ladyship,may I now proceed to deal with my first contention?

May It Please Your Ladyship.As my learned friend has argues earlier,there does not exist a contract between the appellant and the respondent.This is beacuse the telemessage was not effective until delivered;and the letter of rejection took effect upon posting.In other words,the offer was rejected before it could be accepted.How would there be a contract if there was no accepatnce at all?

So today I was supporting my friends, wei yee and karen(both appellant),pik khee and jia sin(both respondent),wei chao,kian min,yi ping and florence(both appellant). Of all thoughts yi ping is the one I remembered the most.HE IS DAMN FUNNY.Before the mooting,during lunch break,he told me that he was going to seduce the judge(and demonstrated to me).And then, he cracked out:''An apple a day keeps the doctor away.''(his hands holding the red apple and showing to the judge) I was laughing like monkey's business.I looked at florence,his partner for mooting.She was kinda AFRAID,I would say.Oh ya,I remembered her words:'Oh man,what did I do wrong..that I get yi ping for my mooting partner.'' Seriously yi ping is our class joker.

So I stayed back to support pik khee and jia sin, wei chao, and yi ping. I really wanted to see wei chao and yi ping MOOT.Wei chao, is also a very funny guy.I would get entertained with him around no matter where and when.Maybe is because he likes to act and exaggerate.Haha. And I couldn't believe that yi ping actually BANGED the table.He was too emotional.EMO.Members of the floor burst out laughing,while he remained calm and cool and kept on arguing and arguing.Pooh.My stomach can't take it anymore.I'd been laughing so much that I felt the 'pinch' of it.

Today is a nice day which is full of laughters,I would say.It's so great to be in KDU college studying law twinning programme with a respectful and honoured university in the name of Oxford.

Mooting

Been very busy these few days..mooting is on Monday at 3pm..need to prepare my script and go through my opponent's bundle of authorities b4 I can actually prepare my script..haihz gonna burn midnight oil today..(used to tell myself I will but in the end it turns out to be the other way round...)

Bout the client interview..Thank God it's a good one. Ms Awanis liked it.My clients were claiming for properties owned by their dad(deceased).The estimated value is 2 mil.They were fighting during the whole interview,me and esther had to keep on calm them down.It's not easy to handle them as this is my 1st experience.Btw, I'm so pleased. At least I need not worry bout that.Mooting is killing me.There's so much work.Besides finding my bundle of authorities, I need to scrutinise my opponent's ones as well..and then I need to prepare my script for that..and then there's so much homework for criminal subject..3 long questions..I guessed we need to write 9 pages of essays..-.-

Me and my partner,amirah and other group of respondents has been staying back in the library searching for law reports..did some case findings..and explanation of facts..reading the judgments..my eyes are seeing nothing but judgments of cases..pooh-.-

Everybody is just so tensed up and moody..however,one good thing bout mooting is that we tend to improve our relationship among classmates.Pointed out by Lit Fwu.I agreed with him.I'd been very close to yi ping's angels except kah ying,she's the appellant..hua jie,wei chao,ainun,kian min(hardly talk to him in class,he's very quiet)and many more..im glad bout that.The 'wall' has been broken.I used to think that they were ''snobbish''..hmmm..silly me''

I love parties!

Chinese New Year Party

Nervous.Preparing my contract law textbook and searching high and low for my contract notes,I grabbed my wallet and handphone and slipped it into my bag. I was allowed to use the car and so, took the car keys and remote and headed straight to KDU college. It was 7.50 am, reached college at 8.05 am. Saw a nice parking place..hehee rested for 15 minutes then received a phone call from wei yee, my close friend in college. She informed me that she's already in cafeteria. So I went to find her. Ordered a Hainanese Breakfast Set and a hot Milo.



4 hours of torture of contract law. I can't really recall which topic she covered. My eyes were half opened.Oooh.Finally she gave us a break.A half an hour break. Then only I realised Pik Khee actually knocked someone's car. Her Proton Waja was not badly damaged,merely scratched, but the Aveo Chevrolet was badly dented.Wow.Waja is tough baby. She went to the Guard House and managed to get the owner's phone number and contact him.



After class, at 1pm, we went to starbucks coffee in One U Old Wing, as it is so much wider compared to New Wing Starbucks.Wow it's so hard to find a proper parking place during Saturdays.. As usual, I ordered an ice blended Mocha without whipped cream, and a chicken union roll, as I had not taken breakfast. Any food looked appealing.Haha.Spotted a cute guy hahaa..hehee with his laptop..



We discussed about the mooting session. Case- Paper v Cotton. Haha..read the chapter of offer and acceptance. I am the respondent for the case, and the junior counsel. Aaa..I need to argue more than Amirah.She's my senior counsel. Two days ago, only realised there's gonna be a client interview the coming tuesday. And I'm the 1st team. Same goes to Mooting. Wow lucky number one for both. We are not told who is going to be out client. Not even the facts of the case. Basically we need to be very well-prepared and need to think wisely of what questions we are supposed to ask our clients in order to obtain full information, and also to propose an appropriate solution for their unsolved doubts.



Finally I fetched my friends to my house. My relatives already arrived. I'M SO EXCITED. Hehee..dont know why.Luckily the party went on very smoothly,no rain. Hahaa..here's some photos..

Mooting

Yesterday,at 3pm, we finally got our mooting topic and also being informed who is our teammate.Feeling nervous, I grabbed the paper and looked for my name..(minyuen minyuen...where r u..)Oh! I'm with amira..!! Haha..luckily didn't get ''qing gu'' as my partner,if not I'll suffer.Terribly SUFFER. jaja:)

Our mooting topic will be on Paper v Cotton. Haha..fiction..??I was staring at the topic for a while..then communication skills's class went on....the class was lil bit boring,me and my frens were chatting the whole lesson..haha we were talking bout all kinds of funny things,like ''flasher'',golf,tennis and all stuff.

Me and my family went to Summer Palace to eat dim sum. The food there is great, and the price is quite reasonable..as they are having an offer.But it doesn't apply if u wanna take away..they'll charge u double from the offer price..hehe...dunno what to write also...so I'll just stop here..Hang on i'll be updating my blog this weekend most probably..hehe...bb

Coping with stress

While I was cracking my brain of completing my essay of voluntary manslaughter,my cousin asked me '' Never update blog?'' Oh..great idea..hehe because I really get stranded in writing my essay.The question goes like this:

U,who was 22 years but with a mental age of 10 years, had a terrible temper, which he did his best to control. Also, because of a motoring accident he had only one leg. He was in the playground when a fellow pupil,V, abusively called him, ''Peg-leg.'' U lost his temper and pushed V to the ground. V,who had a thin skull was concussed by the fall. X,who was U's best friend, tried to pull U away from V whom U was trying to kick. W, a school master, came to the scene and, misunderstanding what was going on, pulled X off U. Released U ran and kicked V on the ground. V had died as a result of concussion and internal injuries.

Of course, U would not be guilty of murder because the mens rea cannot be satisfied,as he was provoked by V. And, for causation, I had only applied the O & S test..I'm confused whether I should apply other tests.Aaarghh! She's gonna 'attack' us again; is she having PMS everyday??

I have 2 assignments to do, which is legal method and contract law. The due date for legal method's assignment is 20th of march. So gonna do quick.Hmmmm....then there's gonna be a mooting which covers 40%...gosh...so much...The topic is gonna be about OFFER and ACCEPTANCE. My head,again,is gonna filled up with offer..acceptance..bla bla bla...


There's so many things to do

The fact that I'm gonna have a party on next saturday..and many of my friends are coming...I'm so excited!!! Heheheee.e...

A Lovely Chinese New Year

While it was of central importance for me to continue the mahjong game, I nevertheless viewed the surprising idea of going to makhota parade was better.Because,this time,I'm going with my cousins.Haha..!(with the feeling of letting go my chance of winning big $$$)

So we headed to Mahkota Parade and took a few instant pictures.

So I decided to smile.Keke same goes to mei xuan.Hmm..weiyi,hong wei and kai shien looked good in posing though a lil 'cacated'.

After that,we went to watch 'protege'. Me,mei xuan and hong wei queued up for 40 minutes just to purchase the tickets,and finally we did. However,luck wasn't on our side when the back and middle seats were occupied.Reluctantly, I chose the first row of seats.It's my first time sitting so front.Daniel Wu is seriously good-looking,as always.

Such a nice dream

Yesterday I had a splendid night.Guess what?I dreamed of having the Sony Ericsson W880i...haha funny right..??I don't know why..but it seemed so real when a knock on my door spoiled everything.Damn.Where's my new phone..then only I realised it's actually a dream.Aargh...what the heck..Suddenly my small sis bumped in with her school uniform,saying''Bye bye!'' She is used to going into my room at 6.30 am while I was asleep by unlocking my room door with the master key, and telling me goodbye before she goes to school.This time,I said''Mmm''(in a sleepy manner)..Man..you spoiled my dream....

Not long after I'd woken up,my mum came into my room and said''Wanna do your ic? You have reached 18.'' Oh..yahor..Need to renew my Identity Card....but I wasn't in a mood..so I replied''No way.I'm too lazy to do that.Another time la,'' Then she started grumbling,it would be difficult to find another day as I'm very busy this year.Though I agree with her,but too bad I'm not in a mood to queue up in the IC Department,nor taking a picture.So, just forget it.

Then only I remembered I had a dinner appointment.Oh..what the heck..luckily its only morning.Whoa everything's so sudden..siao lang..then my pulse quickened at the very thought of having loads of homework being untouched.I'd learned that my lecturers are seriously gonna burst into flames when they realised students didn't finish their homework they gave.My criminal law lecturer,ms meera actually stopped Julian from going to the washroom.Terribly insane.No matter how important or valuable is your lecture, I think it is not necessary to prohibit students from going to the washroom.Julian ignored her and went.He even argued with her.She had gone mad.I felt that.

A trip to palace of justice

Yesterday the law society organised a trip to a court in Putrajaya-Palace of Justice.My friends and I were informed to dress formally in black or white colour.I wore a white blazer and a black knee-length skirt which I bought from Elle.I was so eager to see my buddies and the guys in our class to be formally dressed.Haha can't wait siao...

Finally I arrived at 7.30 am and saw a few of my friends.Wow.So cool.One of my friends,pik khee,looks like a lawyer.She's dressed in a black blazer with a black pants,in formal officewear.Most of my friends did not put on a blazer,haha they looked partly casual,but more to the formal side.Suddenly we saw 20 packets of McDonald's take-away,we wondered whether is it for us..haha but then we only paid 10 bucks for the bus fare,are they that kind to spare us lunch from McD...?? We were giggling so loud until they actually heard us..haha paiseh''

My friends and I waited for almost half an hour before we managed to board the bus.I was wondering who's the idiot who created so much hevoc..??Out of a sudden...''qing gu''appeared in front of Kdu's main entrance with a loosen tie, hair uncombed.Basically I was a lil blur when my friends started giggling and whispering bout him.Haaha..it's really funny because he,seriously looked more like a driver...than a future lawyer..keke~

The journey took about 45 minutes, and we started taking loads of pictures inside the bus to kill time.When we reached there,oh my goodness.I did not expect the ''court'' to be so huge,it's like a White House.Normally,the court that I'd visited is not that grand,and not that beautiful.I was amazed.There goes to my friends too.Luckily we dressed formally..or else..the security guard would have chased us out.Haha...

We were led to a place where Members of Parliament usually gather.We selected a seat far behind,and each seats is provided a mike.One of the guys played with the mike and wanted to say my name''Min yuen..Min yuen!!'' Cold sweat.Thank goodness the mike wasn't working.Hahaaa...

Then we went to listen to a civil case-a divorce case. Oh I really pity the respondent,which is the wife.Apparently,the appellant earned 3570 ringgit per month,and he has two new wives.He had apparently seek a divorce with the respondent,and appealed to the court that 1000 ringgit of maintenance fee paying to her is too much,and may it lowered down to 300 ringgit per month.I was thinking..how the hell a person is going to survive with 300 per month??Are you nuts,plaintiff's lawyer?? My friend,carolyn,was whispering that:''hey,just my bag also nearly 400 la,stupid one!'' After that,we went to visit the prison inside.Gosh.Now only I know how is it like to be in a prison.Freakingly horrible..I'm not going to be too detailed in this particular topic..But,as I wonder,those who are guilty and sentenced to jail really deserves it.They ought to live like this.Man..am I too evil..??
